Park Cattle Co. has launched a Web site, www.parkranch.com, to inform the public about the Park Ranch Specific Plan in Douglas County.
The site outlines the Douglas County Master Plan and its many amendments, provides maps of respective development areas, relevant contact information and a blog that is updated regularly.
The blog will cover recent news stories and discuss important issues pertaining to the Park Ranch Specific Plan. Users can comment on stories and discuss concerns.
A company spokeswoman said the plan presents a compact, balanced, "smart growth" approach for approximately 4,500 acres of Park Cattle Company properties located in the Carson Valley.
"It presents an orderly, balanced and controlled approach to development that will ensure the permanent conservation of over four square miles of open space and agricultural land by focusing the expansion of existing communities in Douglas County," said Molly Conklin of the Ferraro Group.
