Patricia and Gerald Mahoney of Gardnerville will celebrate their 60th anniversary April 10, 2008.
The couple met at a young people's club at St. Charles Church in North Hollywood and spent their first date at a football game between Loyola University and St. Mary's College.
They were married April 10, 1948, at St. Francis deSales Church in Los Angeles. They spent their honeymoon camping and driving to Northern California. Every vacation from then on was spent camping and fishing with family and friends.
Pat and Jerry Mahoney's family includes Chris Mahoney of Northridge, Calif., Kathy and husband Rick Campbell of Gardnerville, Joe Mahoney of Gardnerville, Terry Mahoney and wife Colleen of Temecula, Calif., Jennie Johnston and husband Rick of Mission Viejo, Calif., Bill Mahoney and wife Cyndi of Eagle, Idaho, Stephanie Kemp of Mountain View, Calif., 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The Mahoneys have made Gardnerville their home for 14 years.
