The Douglas High softball team picked up a big win over North Valleys Thursday afternoon, topping the Panthers 14-4 in Minden.
Stephanie Harper picked up the win in the circle, striking out four and walking none.
Douglas was quiet offensively through the first two innings before breaking through with five runs in the third and four in the second.
Lauren Hoppe drove in five runs, Harper and catcher Katrina Morgan each had two RBIs and Emily Weaver and Dorothy Sliva each drove in one.
Morgan and Tara Paiement each doubled for the Tigers.
Douglas improved to 10-5 overall and 4-3 in league play.
The teams will meet at North Valleys Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 10 a.m.
