Join Douglas County TRIAD for a free presentation about how to recognize and prevent elder abuse, 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 11 at Valley Christian Fellowship, 1267 Highway 395 in the Meadowdale Center, Gardnerville.
Nurses, caregivers and seniors are invited to learn how to identify elder abuse and how to report it. The presentation includes information about elder rights, living wills, living trusts and how to avoid elder fraud in the community.
Douglas County Nevada TRIAD was formed to support the needs of seniors and represents cooperation among law enforcement, fire departments and senior citizens.
