A woman in her 30s was reportedly killed when she was struck by a semi-truck on Highway 395 near Pine Valley Road at 5:25 p.m.
According to emergency personnel on scene, the woman ran out in front of the truck.
Numerous people reported the incident. The woman's family was at the scene.
Traffic in the area is backed up in both lanes.
The incident is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol.
