Updates on Douglas High graduates for the week ending May 13

BASEBALL


Bryan Miller, jr., OF, Troy University: Miller is batting .306 with six doubles and 20 RBIs for the Trojans. Troy is 32-21 overall on the year and 15-12 in Sun Belt Conference play.


Cal Lewis, sr., 3B, South Dakota State: The Jacks swept a four-game series from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne over the weekend. He drove in a run in a 7-4 win, went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and his 13th home run of the year in a 15-4 win and went 3-for-3 with four runs scored in a 10-3 win.


Chris Honer, soph., P, Point Loma: Point Loma finished the season ranked No. 25 in the NAIA. Honer had a season ERA of 3.42 with a 2-1 record in 14 appearances. He had 18 strikeouts and only three walks.


Shane Cauley, jr., OF, Chico State: The Wildcats were eliminated from the CCAA tournament but will most-likely advance to the NCAA Division II Western Region Tournament next week.


D.J. Brady, fr., OF, Mesa College: Season over.


Chad Walling, soph., INF, Western Nevada: The Wildcats won the Region 18 Championship over the weekend with a 6-4 win over No. 16 Southern Nevada. The Wildcats will next play in the Western District Regionals.




SOFTBALL


Kristy Olsen, jr., 3B/OF, Iowa State: The Cyclones lost to Kansas in the first round of the Big 12 tournament. Olsen batted .213 on the year with 21 runs scored and 17 stolen bases.


Brittany Puzey, soph., OF, Nevada: The Wolf Pack upset No. 12 Hawaii to advance to the WAC Tournament championship game, where they lost to Fresno State 5-3. Puzey was named to the all-tournament team.


Valerie Smith, soph., C, Columbia: Season over.


Kayla Dunn, soph., P/IF, Feather River: Season over.




TRACK & FIELD


Daniel Sipko, jr., Eastern Oregon: Did not compete last week.


Ryan Bertucci, fr., Chico State: Took third in the high jump at the CCAA championships last week. He jumped a personal best 6-7 too take third.


Andi Villasenor, sr., Mount Holyoke College: Season over.
