The R-C Morning Report

The R-C's deepest sympathies go out to the family of Douglas County School Board Vice President Connie Wennhold. The Ruhenstroth resident was found dead in her home on Wednesday afternoon of apparent natural causes. News of her death was announced at parent-teacher meetings at both Douglas high schools. Mrs. Wennhold was appointed to the school board in August 2001 and was unopposed for re-election in 2002 and 2006. She was president of the school board last year. A member of Carson Valley United Methodist Church, Mrs. Wennhold formed a group through her church that met and prayed for students, teachers and members of the administration. She was the original owner of Bouquet and Bouquet and she taught scrapbooking. Her husband George is a bailiff in the Douglas County courts. Her oldest son Adam is away at school in California. Her second son, Aaron, attends Douglas High School. I will post information about services as soon as I receive it.
