Holly Kay Atchison and John William Spiers of Reno were married Oct. 6, 2006, at Edgewood, Stateline, Nev. The late afternoon ceremony was held on the stone patio overlooking Lake Tahoe and was followed by a sit down dinner reception.
The bride is the daughter of Donna and Mala Chizek of Minden, Nev., and Dennis Atchison of Smith Valley, Nev. The groom is the son of Diane Spiers of Twin Falls, Idaho.
Matron of Honor, Shanon Clowers and bridesmaids Sarah Decker, Belinda Watson, and Jessica Allen served as the bride's attendants. Groomsmen Kevin Atchison, Brandon Jones, and John Spiers attended the groom. Brenna and Brooke Jones, the groom's nieces, were flower girls and Erik Atchison, the bride's nephew, was ringbearer for the couple.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Douglas High School in Minden and a 2000 graduate of University of Nevada, Reno. She is employed as publicist for Circus Circus in Reno. The groom is a 1996 graduate of Chaparral High School in Las Vegas and is employed by BeavEx in Reno.
The couple is at home in Reno after honeymooning in San Diego.
