1,200 attend first Concert in the Park

Music was flowing through Minden Park, Friday, as the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department kicked-off the first family Concert in the Park.

An estimate of more than 1,200 people enjoyed the tunes of the Eagles while enjoying the company of family and friends. Hotel California, "A Tribute to the Eagles" was sponsored by Carson Valley Inn and David Walley's Hot Springs and Spa.

The next concert featuring the Comstock Cowboys, sponsored by Carson Valley Medical Center and co-sponsored by Bing Materials and Stor-all, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. July 13 at the pavilion in Minden Park.
