The Town of Genoa is seeking volunteers to help make 4,000 pounds of Genoa's famous homemade candy for the 87th Annual Genoa Candy Dance Arts and Crafts Faire on Sept. 29 and 30. Candy making begins Aug. 6 and 7, with a fudge-making workshop presented by Genoa candy-maker, Marian Vassar.
Come to the Genoa Town kitchen between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Aug. 6 or 7. Divinity-making begins 8 a.m. Aug. 8.
The regular candy-making schedule begins Aug. 13, and continues 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through August and September. Evening sessions are 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
This is a great way to participate in a historic community while meeting and socializing with old and new friends.
