Local photographer Steve Noble of Moments in Time, will be offering a photo workshop class and field trip during the Eagles & Agriculture event in Carson Valley. This two-day opportunity to learn from a international wildlife professional photographer will be offered Feb. 24-25 and cost the participants $60.
The first workshop/seminar will be from 3-6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24 in the Carson Valley Inn Dublin Room. Pre-registration is required. Participants are to bring their cameras, lenses and the cameral manual.
On Sunday, Feb. 25, the photo workshop field trip will be from 7:45-10 a.m. Participants are to meet at Carson Valley Inn hotel/casino lobby at 7:45 a.m. Please be prompt. The class will be outdoors in Carson Valley to photograph area wildlife/scenery. Participants will be asked to car pool.
Photography is the art of capturing unique "moments in time," Steve Noble said. For the last 35 years, Noble has traveled the globe seeking out these fleeting moments.
"As a young man I spent a significant amount of time exploring the wilderness. I experienced the incredible beauty found in nature, but I found that my words failed to describe the wonders that I had seen," Noble said. "Photography is my way of sharing these special moments with others."
Wildlife and nature photography are Noble's primary passion.
"Watching a mother grizzly teach her cub to fish or spending the morning watching the playful antics of a prairie dog colony, these are the moments that really count," he said.
The quest to experience the wonders of nature has taken Steve to many of the earth's most special places - the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the crystal clear waters of Bora Bora, the thundering cascades of Victoria Falls in Africa, to name just a few. He has been fortunate to spend time at base camp photographing climbers as they begin their trek to summit Mount Denali and to witness the rising sun on the summer solstice morning at Stonehenge.
Noble has been a guest speaker on board several cruise ships where he teaches photography and shares his experiences. His art is displayed in galleries throughout the U.S., as well as in international locations.
