The third annual ferret shelter open house is 1-4 p.m. Saturday at 977 Pleasantview Court, Gardnerville.
There will be raffles, auctions, refreshments and plenty of ferrets. Guest speaker is Dr. Cameron Ross from Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital.
Items needed to help the shelter are HE laundry soap, paper towels, regular bleach, bath towels, ferret toys, double bed comforters, children's sleeping bags and volunteers.
Monetary donations for veterinary and food costs are appreciated.
