Gardnerville students in program

The University of Nevada, Reno accepted three Gardnerville students into its honors program beginning with the 2007 academic year.

Only 116 students earned this academic distinction.

The honors program students include Cole Hamzik, Daniel Hyden, and Matthew McLaughlin.

Students entering the honors program have demonstrated high academic achievement, outstanding leadership ability, and interest in academic and career goals.

Honors program students pursue a challenging curriculum while participating in professional and social opportunities. Honors program undergraduates complete an honors thesis in their major.
