There's a slight chance of thunderstorms today and Thursday. It appears Fish Springs got another smidgen of rain, but the rest of the Valley remained pretty dry. It appears we made it through Tuesday without a repeat of the weather that set three fires on Monday. Apparently Truckee was not so lucky. Lightning there set a half-dozen fires.

The Lampe Park Farmers Market opens at 8 a.m. this morning in Gardnerville. There are only four more markets before it closes for the season on Sept. 19.
