A wildland fire burning on top of the hill in the area of Jack Wright Pass was reported at 2:46 p.m. Monday.
Initial reports are that the fire was caused by a lightning strike near the border of Lyon and Douglas County.
Lyon County firefighters have reported that the fire is approximately 10 acres and burning uphill. The nearest structures are a half-mile to the east.
