Alpine County firefighters responded to a quarter-acre brush fire reported at 3:41 p.m. on South Tahoe Public Utility District land near the Woodfords Fire Station.
The fire was quickly extinguished. East Fork firefighters moved up to support Carson City firefighters, who were battling a blaze in Brunswick Canyon near Dear Run Road by the river.
A woman in an apartment on Langley reported a bullet passed through her wall at 3:15 p.m. today.
