Rejoice in the Lord

Greetings Carson Valley! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

Well, what about this weather huh? Here I thought it was summer, even planned a rummage sale for Saturday and now I hear it may snow. That's how the weather is in this part of the country. One minute it can be bright and sunny and the next, its cloudy and over cast. The contrast is quite vivid.

I have an appreciation for contrasting things; the cold lemonade on a hot day, and the hot coffee on a cold day. There are lots of other contrasts I'm sure you could think of; like light and darkness, good and bad, joy and sorrow.

Those are more serious aren't they? But isn't experiencing those contrasts, constitute what much of our lives are made of? Understanding those contrasts can enable us to have great appreciation of them. Like understanding the evil that exists in our world, and being able to contrast that with the love, grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

What an empty and hopeless world I would experience, if I could not see and know that there is the great and awesome Lord God, there for me to know, and have an intimate relationship with.

You know what I mean? If you don't, seek the Lord and He will make Himself known to you.

Psalm 40:16: "Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; let those who love Your salvation say continually, 'The Lord be magnified!'"
