Ranchos resident on house arrest in lewdness case

A 20-year-old Gardnerville Ranchos man was jailed on $100,000 bail charged with three felony counts of lewdness with a child under 14.

Mark Todd Dixon was released on house arrest and told he may not have contact with the alleged victim, an 11-year-old boy, who accused the suspect of improper touch.

Dixon is a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and was released to his parents' custody.

According to court documents, the alleged incidents occurred prior to his enlistment.

Dixon is subject to random search and seizure and must abstain from drugs and alcohol.He was fitted with an ankle bracelet that is monitored by a global positioning system.

East Fork Justice Jim EnEarl told him Friday he may not leave his parents' residence.

He is to return to court for a hearing on May 2.
