Douglas picks up first win

The Douglas defense was simply stifling Friday night, holding the once vaunted Spanish Springs running game to just seven yards on the ground as the Tigers picked up a 19-7 victory.

Douglas allowed 89 yards through the air, 49 of which came on the game's final drive after all the Tiger starters were out.

David Laird tossed a touchdown pass and Reese Kizer ran for two scores in the win.

Sean Peralta had two interceptions and Anthony Alvitre and Nate Whalin each had two sacks.
