Sierra Nevada Sports Media Polls

The Sierra Nevada Sports Media Polls are voted on weekly by reporters from around the Northern region. One computer formula is included in football voting, although it is given the same weight as the human voters. Schools from any league or classification in Northern Nevada are eligible for the polls. Complete voting results are at the bottom of this page.

FOOTBALL

Reed High School topped the latest Sierra Nevada Sports Media football poll, released Wednesday morning, after soundly beating Fallon 35-13 last week, upping its season record to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in High Desert League play.

The Raiders will face one of their stiffest tests in several weeks Friday night as they host No. 3 McQueen.

Galena remained No. 2 after shutting out Elko and McQueen had no movement after a bye week.

Road-tested Douglas jumped up to No. 4 with its 34-7 win at Hug last week. The Tigers will take on No. 7 Reno in Reno Friday for the Sierra League title in what may be this weekend's most exciting matchup.
