Job's View Project Manager Bill Merrill is pulling his project off the planning commission and county commission agendas, saying the time is not right economically to build a new project.

In a letter appearing in Wednesday's edition of The Record-Courier, Merrill said he still believes in the project and will be back when the time is right, citing several reasons why he feels the project located between Johnson Lane and Stephanie Way is a good one.

It's raining on the west side of the Valley, but it's not freezing. At 6:30 a.m. it's 38 degrees and there's not a breath of wind. Perhaps not coincidentally, the National Weather Service is forecasting a 100 percent chance of rain today with isolated thunderstorms. Winds will be out of the east later on today at 15 mph with gusts up to 24 mph. The high will stall at 61 degrees. Tonight, after the rain clears out the low temperature is predicted to hit 24 degrees.

Carson Valley residents Sherry Dilley and Jerry Bing spoke with the Las Vegas Review-Journal about their friend Kathy Augustine's death. Dilley said Augustine was planning on getting a divorce from husband Chaz Higgs.

Today they are exhuming the body of Augustine's third husband, Charles Augustine, to see if Higgs, who was his critical care nurse, might have poisoned him.

Kathy Augustine and Higgs were married shortly after her former husband's death.
