Volumes of new information and a much more user-friendly homepage layout are available at Douglas County's new Web address, www.DouglasCountyNv.gov. The new site opened this week, according to Lisa Granahan, assistant to Douglas County Manager Dan Holler.
"The county's new Web site makes commonly requested information much more available to the public," Holler said. "The new site is easy to navigate, and departments can update their web pages and revise content without being web experts."
Along with common links such as "A-Z Services" and "departments," the new site features a current news section with links to programs and projects. Visitors to departments, such as community development, will find a whole array of permit applications available for downloading, with more forms and information added each week.
The county welcomes input about the new site. Comments should be directed to Granahan, at lgranahan@co.douglas.nv.us or 782-6268.
