Benefit for Lenna is Saturday

The Leg for Lenna Benefit is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Gall Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.

The fundraiser is to help pay for a prosthetic leg for Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School student Lenna Fagan who was born with just one leg.

There will be raffles, silent auction items to bid on, desserts will be served and entertainment provided by Ted Nagel, Shawna Pisciotta and Larry Nair, and David John of the Comstock Cowboys.

There is a suggested donation of $5 for adults at the door.

Raffle tickets are available on site for $2 each for items in the categories of Auto, Get Pampered, Home, Dine Out, Family Fun, Get Away and Lofty Adventures. Winners need not be present to win raffle prizes.

Prizes include color TVs, season pass at Kirkwood Ski Resort, overnight stays at Sorensen's Resort and the Carson Valley Inn, airplane, glider and gondola rides, one-week stay in a Montana vacation home, gift certificates for David Walley's Hot Springs & Resort and Cook's Pantry and much more.

Also available is art, paintings, pottery, jewelry and handmade crafts.
