Variety show raises funds for Alzheimer's

The Dakota Organization is presenting a variety show on Dec. 15 at the CVIC Hall in Minden.

This will be a fundraising event for The Alzheimer's Association of Northern Nevada, showcasing the local talent of Carson Valley. A variety of acts from singing, instrumental music, dance, comedy, dramatic sketches and a bell choir will be included in the show. The community can come see the best local talent in all forms, strutting their stuff.

There is still a chance to participate. Auditions for the variety show will be held on Mondays, Nov. 20 and 27, 7 p.m. at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville.

The variety show will be held 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at the CVIC Hall.

Tickets are $8, $5 for children 5 and younger. One hundred percent of the net proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association. Tickets will be available for sale in advance and at the door. For ticket information, call 450-1186.
