Back Forty Bluegrass band appears

The Back Forty Bluegrass band will return for a Friends of Hope Valley benefit concert this year at Sorensen's Resort located on Highway 88 in Hope Valley, near Picketts Junction. The day will include music and appetizing food from the Sorensen's Cafe. The concert will be 1-7 p.m. Sunday.

The Friends of Hope Valley is a grassroots organization formed to protect the scenic, historical and recreational values of Hope Valley and the eastern slopes of Alpine County. Hope Valley is one of the last pristine high altitude valley's left undeveloped in the Sierra Nevada. "Friends" was instrumental in seeing that most of Hope Valley became public lands.

Spend an afternoon in a beautiful setting at Sorensen's Resort. Good music and good food will be guaranteed. Sorensen's Resort is hosting this event and matching the funds raised by the $10 ticket for the concert.
