The 2006 Juniper Creek Writers Conference will be July 14-16 at Western Nevada Community College in Carson City. The three-day event features workshops for all levels of writers of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, screenplay, songwriting and children's literature.
Friday's keynote address, poetry reading and wine tasting are free. Saturday's workshops are followed by a book sale, author signing, barbecue dinner and musical performance by Richard Elloyan, plus a stargazing party at the WNCC observatory. Sunday offers all day workshops. One credit is available from WNCC for attending.
