Ron Pierini and Celeste Walters, both of Carson Valley, are pleased to announce their engagement to be married. Ron was born and raised in Carson City, where his parents, Pete and Ruth Pierini still live. He is currently the sheriff of Douglas County and has served with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office since 1976.
Celeste was born and raised in Minden, where her parents, William and Gail, still live. Celeste is a registered nurse at Washoe Medical Center-South Meadows in the emergency department.
The couple is to be married Aug. 6 at the Corley Ranch in Gardnerville. They will continue to make their home in the Carson Valley with Celeste's 12-year-old daughter, Leah.
