Spaghetti feed fundraiser held for Gardnerville woman

The Linda Kraten Leukemia Fund presents a spaghetti feed fundraiser 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the CVIC Hall in Minden.

This family-oriented event will include all-you-can-eat pasta with all the trimings, a live family DJ and music to dance to, a music trivia contest and a costume contest. Wear your favorite red checkered table cloth or dress like a mobster and win the contest. The cost for the event is $12 for adults; $5 for children K-6; pre-K children are free.

Linda Kraten is a Gardnerville mom who has worked in the Douglas County School District as an education aide. She was diagnosed with Acute Myelocitic Leukemia last May and has spent the last 10 months in the hospital and at home recovering from a bone marrow transplant. Her treatment expenses have exceeded half a million dollars.

If you would like to aid her family in helping to cover some of these expenses, join in the evening of food, dancing and family entertainment.

If you would like to donate to Linda's Fund, checks can be made payable to "Linda Kraten Benefit Account" and mailed to U.S. Bank, 1525 Highway 395, Gardnerville, NV 89410.
