Douglas golf ties for 4th in league meet


The Douglas High School boys' golf team shot a 236 to tie for fourth place at the Sierra League match at Washoe Golf Course Tuesday afternoon.


Troy Shields led the Tigers with a 43. Trevor Mitchell shot a 46, D.J. Dykes shot a 46, Conner Egan shot a 49 and Reese Kizer shot a 52.

Carson won the match, shooting a team 205 with J.T. Cockerill shooting a 36 to take individual medalist honors.

Reno took second with a 219, South Tahoe took third with 235 and Wooster finished tied with Douglas at 236.


North Valleys finished sixth, followed by Damonte Ranch and then Hug.
