A two-part seminar on throws and ground fighting will be offered by Sierra Dojo and High Desert Martial Arts 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 1434-B Industrial Way, Gardnerville.
The course is open to all ranks, styles and systems. Minimum age is 16, unless instructor approves of mature youth holding a rank of fifth kyu or higher. No one younger than 13 can participate. The cost is $30, with lunch included.
The instructors are Ron Tyree, a sixth-degree black belt, and Adam Knox, a fourth-degree black belt, both ranked by the Order of Isshin-Ryu. Each has an extensive background in several martial arts.
