Elks are having a carnival

The Minden Douglas Elks Lodge is hosting its annual carnival July 26-30. This event provides funding for charitable and civic services.

The event will be held in Lampe Park, where there will be rides for everyone and games of skill on the midway.

The Elks will set up a food and drink pavilion where they will sell hamburgers, cheeseburgers with chili and sodas. For the adults, there will be beer, wine and margaritas.

Advanced sale 30-ticket books can be purchased for 50 percent less than during the carnival for $15 until noon on July 26. "Ride All Day" wrist bands can be purchased at the carnival ticket booth on July 26 and 27 for $20 or by trading in one advanced sale ticket book.

Advanced sale ticket books are available from any member of the Elks and at the following businesses: Accolades Trophies, Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce,Full Belly Deli, Les Schwab Tires, Main Street Barbers, Hamdogs and in front of Scolari's on July 8, 15, and 22.
