No job too small for the Elmers

Terry Elmer is ready to haul trash or firewood, cut weeds or put up drywall.

"If you don't want to do it, I will," he said.

"Most people say for their businesses, 'No job too big,' I say, 'No job too small,'" Elmer said about his new business, Elmers' Maintenance.

Elmer and his brother Stacy do small construction jobs and work on cars on the side. Terry Elmer has his commercial driver's license to drive big rigs.

The Yerington native is a veteran of 14 years in the National Guard working as a tank turret mechanic. Elmer was previously with Carson Valley Garden and Ranch, but the time was right to start his own business.

"I'm always a good employee and did well for them but now it's my turn," Elmer said.

Some of the small construction jobs the Elmer brothers do are roofing, building sheds and fences, remodels and small concrete work.

"Basically we do anything two guys can jump on and we do it in a reasonable amount of time," he said.

He said he's worked with a lot of retired folks to help them out.

"Sometimes contractors do a job, forget the details and never come back, but I will," Elmer said. "I'll leave it in better shape than what it was."

Contact Elmers' Maintenance at 690-3524 for an estimate.

"Call anytime," he said. "I have my phone on at all times. If I don't answer it's because I have my hands full."
