Renaissance Faire just over the horizon

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Come one come all to the 10th annual Genoa Renaissance Faire July 29-30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.


Experience all the glory of the pirate village of Genovese, where you will rub elbows with all sorts of cretins, knights and royalty. Visit with the customed vendors selling exotic wares from far off lands. Twice a day the noble Knights of the Azure Cross will joust for their honor. There will be sword fighting demos both days as well as singing, dancing and magic.


Belly dancers will keep you entertained with their special twist on the art of belly dancing. Trey Cromwell, the Professional Showoff, will amaze you on two different stages both days, comedy acts will make you laugh till it hurts. Vile acts of magic will enthrall one and all. The Twilight Knights will demonstrate their skill with swords with three shows a day. The Valley Harpers will keep you mellow during the day. Gairin will entertain with old fashion Celtic music. Don't miss the drenching of the wench or the scavenger hunt for the young and older generation with prizes for both. Be sure to visit the fortune teller, or get your own coin struck much like they did 500 years ago.


Food and ale will abound. This is a fun packed weekend for the whole family. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and children 6 to 12 years of age, 5 and younger are free.
