Rewards offered in two cases

Douglas County Secret Witness is offering $1,000 and $500 rewards for information in two crimes.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to arrests in an April 6 burglary in the Gardnerville Ranchos in which thieves are accused of stealing rock 'n' roll memorabilia worth $8,000.

The suspects are described as a white female who uses the first name "Val" and a white male.

Numerous items were taken including shadow boxes containing autographed photos, guitar picks and ticket stubs from performances by ZZ Top, Ted Nugent, KISS, Van Halen and Motley Crüe.

A $500 reward is being offered for information in a June 20 burglary at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle school.

Two white male juveniles and a white female juvenile were videotaped entering numerous rooms at the school and taking candy and soft drinks.

The suspects are believed to be current or ex-students with knowledge of the building and the camera system.

They covered their heads with their T-shirts in all but two locations.

According to authorities, digital surveillance footage has been sent out for upgraded images. School officials are reviewing the footage for suspect identification.

Deputies also have fingerprints and handprints from windows and items within the building.
