String musicians needed; rehearsals begin March 8

Attention musicians. The Carson City Symphony will begin rehearsals for two April concerts on Wednesday, 7:15-9:30 p.m., at the Carson High School band room.

The concerts will feature guest soloist, Jeremy Keppelmann, harp, in Handel's Concerto in B-flat, for Harp and Orchestra Op. 4, No. 6, on April 22, 7:30 p.m., at the Carson City Community Center, and on April 23, 4 p.m., at the Oats Park Arts Center in Fallon. For more information, see the Web site CCSymphony.com

The symphony, conducted by music director David Bugli, is a community orchestra of about 55 players who perform music from the 15th to 21st centuries. It is open to string players at any time without audition, and to other instrumentalists when positions are available. Current openings are for strings. Musicians who are interested in joining should contact the symphony at 883-4154.
