Joelle "Judy"


Ecklund


1934-2006


A funeral service will be 11 a.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, 1281 Roop St., Carson City for Joelle "Judy" Ecklund, 71, who died Feb. 25, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Hospital.


Mrs. Ecklund was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Vernal, Utah, to Lorenzo Snow Hall and Elree Rasmussen Hall. She lived in Vernal for 37 years, graduated from Unital County High School and married Marvin Ecklund, Nov. 20, 1954. A resident of Gardnerville for more than 30 years, she was an assembler at Bently and retired after 30 years of service.


She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her husband, her daughter Marva Jo and son-in-law Bob and son Dale and daughter-in-law Robin Ecklund both of Carson City. She is also survived by brother Gene R. Hall of Vernal Utah, six grandchildren and six great-granchildren.


Arrangements are in the care of Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. Burial will take place in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery in Vernal, Utah. The family requests any memorial donations be made to the Nevada Lung Association.




Patrick R. Linehan


1933-2006


A memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gall Catholic Church for Patrick R. Linehan, 72, who died Feb. 22, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Hospital.


Mr. Linehan was born March 23, 1933, in Chicopee, Mass., to Patrick and Valeda Linehan. He married Marlene Linton at St. Mary's Catholic Church in 1956. Before moving to Gardnerville 12 years ago, he was a resident of Culver City, Calif. He was a machinist at Lockheed Aircraft for 32 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps with a tour of duty during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church and the Culver City Elks Club.


He was preceded in death by his parents.


He is survived by his wife Marlene, daughter Kathy and her husband Kenton, son Michael and his wife Dana, sons Thomas and John, all from Gardnerville; daughter Mary and her partner from Reno and son Robert and his wife Lori from Gilbert, Ariz. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Starr, Sean, Dillion, Trevor, Shannon, Destiny, Zachary and Sydnie as well as three great-grandchildren Casidy, Aubrey and Jazmine.


Arrangements are in the care of Capitol City Cremation.
