Garden club is back at Douglas County Senior Center

Spring is approaching and it is time for the garden club to get back into action. The group is open to everyone interested in gardening or learning about digging in the soil. There are three master gardeners, Howard and Harriet Althouse and Ingrid Texeira. The topic at the March 27 garden club meeting is, "How to choose good quality plants and forcing spring-flowering shrubs." The meeting will be 10 a.m. in the ceramic room at Douglas County Senior Center. Handouts will be given out on "How to be a smart nursery shopper."

Garden club meetings will be the fourth Wednesday each month at the senior center in Gardnerville at 10 a.m.
