Little Miss Douglas County Pageant takes place Saturday

This Saturday, 36 contestants will compete in the Little Miss Douglas County Pageant in five age divisions. Girls ages 2-17 years will vie for the titles of Little Miss, Junior Miss, Baby Miss, Teen Miss and Wee Miss Douglas County. The girls will compete in three areas: interview, modeling and talent.

Annie Austin, Miss South Lake Tahoe and Raechel Prosser, Nevada's Outstanding Teen will be the emcees for the pageant. The younger contestants ages 2-5 years will compete in modeling at 12:30 pm. They will be judged by Rebecca Wallstrum, Kolina Nalder and Angie Nalder.

While the little ones are being judged in modeling only, the older contestants will each be interviewed privately by judges for their age group: Kari Ramos, Brooke Westlake and Suzette Bennett. They will begin the modeling and talent portion of their competition at 1:45 p.m.
