Man killed in Highway 395 accident

A 64-year-old man was killed and two other people injured in a two-car accident at Highway 395 and Stephanie Way on Thursday afternoon.

James David Price was killed in the accident, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. Price's wife, Ellen, 59, was taken by helicopter to Renown Medical Center in Reno with non-life threatening injuries, said Douglas County Sheriff's Lt. Keith Logan.

The accident occurred at about 2:23 p.m. when Price pulled out from Stephanie into the path of a northbound 1994 Ford Thunderbird driven by 24-year-old Christopher Mcintyre of Carson City.

The Thunderbird struck the driver's side door of the Prices' 1993 Buick, killing the driver instantly.

Ellen Price was taken by ambulance helicopter to a Reno hospital, where she is in stable conditioon. Mcintyre was also taken to Reno by helicopter. He is also in stable condition.
