Antiques show and sale coming in January



The annual Genoa Antiques Show and Sale, hosted by Martha Williams, will be held Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 13-14, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. This is the 14th year for this show, which is held at the Town Hall in the center of Genoa.


Antiques featured will be country furniture, fine walnut and mahogany furniture, decorative arts, vintage tiles, architectural antiques, heirloom jewelry, garden antiques, coca cola and native American antiques, provided by Northern Nevada dealers.


There will be something for everyone from the beginning collector to the seasoned enthusiast. An appraisal clinic is included. People can bring their items and have them appraised or identified for a $5 per item fee. There is no limit to the amount of items a person can bring. Large items can be appraised with good photographs.


Members of the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra will be selling hot dogs and refreshments. The show benefits, in part, the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra. The admission for this event is $1.50 and parking is free.
