• A new twist on the old classic "Scrooge" will be performed this weekend at Piñon Hills Elementary School. Performers from All About Dance will present "Ebenezer Scrooge: Jazzed Up Like the Dickens" on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. Page B1

SPORTS

• The Douglas boys' basketball team wrapped up the tournament title in the season-opening South Tahoe Invitational over the weekend, beating Manogue 67-49 in the championship game. Douglas went 3-0 in the tournament and will be hosting its own tournament this weekend with the Carson Valley Classic. Page C1

• Brent Koontz was named the region's defensive player of the year over the weekend as the Northern 4A released its postseason football honors. Koontz was among a large number of Tigers honored. Coach Mike Rippee was named the region's coach of the year. Page C1
