Woodcutting restrictions in effect

The Carson Ranger District has begun woodcutting restrictions until further notice. The restriction is in place to stop the use of chain saws and mechanical equipment during the hottest and driest part of the day. Loading the wood you have previously cut after 1 p.m. is acceptable. Call 882-2766 after 5 p.m. the day before cutting wood to determine if woodcutting areas will be open or if increased restrictions are in place.
