Dignataries from all over the state will be arriving in Minden today to say farewell to Sen. Lawrence "Jake" Jacobsen.
The memorial is 10 a.m. in Minden Park, but parking will be at a premium and we suggest you leave now if you're coming from out of the county.
Among the tributes will be one from firefighters who will gather to remember Jake as one of their own.
The National Weather Service is setting the chance of moisture today at 20 percent and at 30 percent for the weekend. Thunderstorms have been in the forecast for the last couple of days, but nothing has come of it, yet.
