King, DeWitt married April 9

William and Gwen King of Minden are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Etta King, to Sam DeWitt, son of Herman and Ronda DeWitt of Gardnerville. The wedding took place April 9 at the Adventure Inn in Reno with Robert Scriven officitating.

The bride, a 2004 Douglas High School graduate, is a stay-at-home mom.


The groom, also a 2004 Douglas High School graduate, is a metal framer at Capital Dry Wall.

The couple has made their home in Gardnerville.


About 20 guests attended the wedding. The maid of honor was Nicolette King, the bride's sister, with bridesmaids Sylvia Cervantes, a friend, Desiree Juarez, a cousin, and Melaine Tingle and Trisha Wilson, both friends of the bride. The flower girl was Faith Wilson, also a friend.

Bryson DeWitt, the couple's son, was the ring bearer, Damon Berg, a friend, was the best man and the groom's brother, Mike DeWitt, was an attendant.


The bride was given away by Etta's father, William King.
