Nikki Vramis Clark Hohlmayer

A memorial service for Nikki Vramis Clark Hohlmayer, 83, a Gardnerville resident, will be at 1 p.m. July 16 at Higgins Funeral Home in Antioch, Calif. A reception will follow at Humphry's Restaurant.

Mrs. Hohlmayer died June 30, 2005, at her home. She was born June 13, 1922, to immigrant parents from Greece, Thomas and Florence Vramis.

She graduated from Antioch High School in 1940 and from Oakland Beauty School in 1941.

Mrs. Hohlmayer owned her own shop, Nikki's Beauty Salon, for 58 years. She was an accomplished seamstress.

She enjoyed dancing and danced as a USO hostess at the Armed Services dances at Camp Stoneman during World War II. She and her husband, Earl, were associated with many dance clubs during their marriage.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dick Clark.

Among her survivors are her husband of 29 years, Earl; son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Patricia Clark of LaJolla, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Dixie and Sandy Martin of Gardnerville; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Bradley Burghardt; granddaughters Caroline Clark and Nicolette Begovich; grandsons Gabe Clark and Cameron Jasper; great-grandchildren Ciarra and Cody Begovich; and a niece and nephew.
