Edna May Risner

A memorial service for Edna May Risner, 74, a Dayton resident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.

A gathering will be held at the family's Dayton residence for those who would like to attend.

Mrs. Risner died Sept. 16, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Nov. 19, 1929, in Topeka, Kan., to Robert and Edith Bigham Link.

She graduated from Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, Calif., in 1946.

She lived in the Carson City-Dayton area for 19 years and had lived at South Lake Tahoe and Sunnyvale, Calif.

Mrs. Risner had been a waitress since 1952 at the family owned and operated Mirmar Cafe in Sunnyvale. She was a Protestant.

Among her survivors are her husband of 56 years, George, sons, Dennis and James Wesley, all of Dayton; grandchildren Paula, Cheryl, Frank, Bob, Jimbo and Rachel and great-grandchildren Brien, Christina, Danielle, Austin, Sierra, Keoni, Rusty, Savanah, Alyssa, Brooke and Jackson.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
