A Mound House man was killed Sunday after his motorcycle crashed en route from Virginia City, authorities said Monday.
Ronald Ray Mazy, 44, died at Washoe Medical Center following the 6 p.m. accident on Highway 341, three miles north of Highway 50 in Lyon County.
An initial investigation indicated Mazy was southbound in a curve when he struck a metal road marker.
The impact threw Mazy from his 1969 Harley- Davidson, causing fatal injuries, said Highway Patrol Trooper Chuck Allen.
