Alex Tanchek doubled home Chris Ames win the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Carson Coyotes a 5-4 win over the North Tahoe Bandits in Sierra Nevada Senior Babe Ruth Baseball action on Wednesday at Governor's Field.
Jack Maloney's two-run single in the bottom of the seventh tied the game 4-4 and forced extra innings. Wes Osmer was the winning pitcher, striking out six in three innings of relief. Jason Knowles pitched five effective innings, striking out four.
Tanchek, Kevin Millim and Maloney were all 2-for-2 and Brad Breeden also hit a home run for the Coyotes.
