n 1869 - Virginia & Truckee Railroad constructed

n 1870 - First train from Carson City reaches Gold Hill

n 1906 - V&T begins operations to Minden

n 1935 - Crown Point trestle in Gold Hill torn down

n 1938 - Service to Virginia City ends

n 1941 - Rails between Virginia City and Carson City torn up for scrap

n 1945 - V&T Engine "Reno" sold to MGM Studios

n 1950 - V&T makes final run from Reno to Carson City and Minden

n 1976 - Bob Gray reopens line between Virginia City and Gold Hill

n 1991 - Demolition of old V&T engine house at Stewart and Washington streets in Carson City.

n 1993 - Legislature forms Tri-County Railway Commission to restore V&T route

n 2003 - V&T obtains four miles of track from Reno trench project
