Carson High junior Cassia Roth, running for the Silver State Striders, had an outstanding day at the Los Angeles Invitational indoor track meet on Saturday.
Running in the elite girls division, Roth was seeded first in the two-mile run and ended up placing second in 10 minutes, 56 seconds. She was also seeded third in the one-mile run and took fourth in 5:27.
Also for the Silver State Striders, Reno's Jonathan Cardenas placed third in the two-mile run in the elite boys division, finishing in 9:26.
In the rated boys division, which is one step below the elite division, Reno's Chris Concha placed second in the one-mile run in 4:29.
